Using Ilo Scripts to configure Agentless Management for Gen 8 servers.

Wilson had an iLO scripting question:

I am looking for help from our IRS Support Team with regards to configure Gen8 ilo for agentless management using Ilo scripts.

We have a compute farm of >200 blade servers All Gen 8 and we need to configure all its ILO for agentless management at the shortest time.

I suppose someone in HP may have already done it using ILO scripts, may be can share the step/script to help in our upcoming deployment?

Attached the standard script that is part of the iLO Sample script package.

Open with a decent editor (Notepad++) and change the values to how you want them to be.

Then, just push to all your iLO’s.  (with plink, RDP,…)

I believe what you’re looking for is contained in the iLO XML Scripting toolkit ( www.hp.com/go/ilo Right-hand side, look for a section called iLO Helpful Downloads )

There is a predefined XML scripting example to enable or disable Agentless Management (Mod_SNMP_IM_Settings.xml).  Use all or portions of the XML to modify fields as you wish.
