Hello Infiniband experts,

Is anyone familiar with BladeSystem Infiniband component firmware?  We need to be able to determine what the current firmware is that is installed on the IB mezz card and Interconnects in a customer’s C7000’s (the OA does not report this in a Show All). 

Does anyone know the commands from RHEL 6.3 & 6.5 to query the firmware and driver loaded on the IB mezz card?

How do we determine the IB Interconnect firmware installed?

What are the best practice recommendations of IB firmware & driver to install (latest versions or something else)?  The rest of the components in the enclosure have SPP2014.02B installed.

System details

OS: RHEL 6.3 and 6.5

Server: ProLiant BL460c Gen8

Mezz Card: HP InfiniBand FDR/Ethernet 10Gb/40Gb 2P 544M Adapter

Interconnect: HP BLc 4X FDR IB Managed Switch  Part Number: 648311-B21

Use the Linux command:  ibstat     to get the firmware and status of the IB mezz card.   

I’m fairly certain you need to use the embedded IB subnet manager software (should be included with the managed switch) to configure the switch and see the firmware it is running.
