BL 465 G6 Blade RAM position
I am mixing RAM stick sizes and want to know if there is an order that they need to go in. Does the smaller ram go into the 1a 2a and 5c 6c slots? I am told that when mixing sizes either the smaller ram needs to go in first or the larger but not sure which. I would also like to know if this holds true for all HP Servers and if there is a link to find this information?

Re: BL 465 G6 Blade RAM position
hi,
... from the quickpsecs of the server:
"
- If mixing DIMM sizes on the same processor, the largest capacity DIMMs must be populated in the bank physically farthest from the processor. The smallest capacity DIMMs must be populated in the bank physically nearest the processor.

Thanks
