I was trying to figure out how to get 4 NICs in a BL460c G6. I am also using fiber so I must have a fiber HBA in there as well.
Here is what I'm thinking will work in my c7000 enclosure:
- The BL460c G1 and G6 have 2 embedded NICs
- Put the fiber HBA in the mez slot 1 which should map to the interconnect bays 3 & 4 (which is where my fiber modules are)
- Put a dual port 1GB card in slot 2 in the server. These ports should map to interconnect bays 5 & 6 which is where I have 1GB modules
Is this correct? So with that configuration I would have my BL460c servers with 4 NICs and two Fiber ports?

SolutionYou are correct in your mappings. There is a Quad-NIC Mezzanine card as well you can use. If you have the additional pass-throughs, the 3rd and 4th NIC from he mezzanine card would map to I/O bays 7 and 8.

The two on-board NICs are Flex-10 NICs (bays 1 and 2 mapping).
