NIC teaming on BladeSystem c7000 Enclosure G2
Hello everyone,
Need to know if there is a way to team NICs on a BladeSystem c7000 Enclosure G2. Is NIC teaming the same process as a none blade server?
Is it like having 2 production NICs and using HP network utility to team the NICs on a blade server?

Re: NIC teaming on BladeSystem c7000 Enclosure G2
Assuming you have a pair of Interconnects in Bays 1 and 2 in the back, then yes, you team NICs just like you would if you had 2 upstream switches for a rackmount.
Keep in mind that port 1 and 2 go to 2 different switches so for every option except Pass Thru moidules and the 6125 family of switches, you cannot LACP bond the NICs together. You can only really use Failover or TLB modes.
The 6125 switches support IRF which make the 2 switches look like one and makes LACP work again.
The Pass Thru modules supporting LACP or not all depends on what you have them connected to upstream. 1 Physical or 1 Logical switch and LACP will work. 2 Switches and you are back to Failover/TLB modes.
