Service Pack for Proliant and RHEL virtual servers

Good Morning,

I have a number of BL460c G6 & G7's running RHEL 6.4.  On top of each I am running up to four KVM virtual RHEL 6.4 servers.  I think my mistake was running SPP on the virtual servers.  So, first question, is there ever any reason to run SPP on a virtual server?  So, now I am trying to clean up.  Looking at the virtual servers there are several kmod-hp driver rpms installed.  My thought would be that the virtualization process insulates the virtual server from the actual hardare.  So, I should be OK to remove these rpms.  Am I wrong, or is it safe to remove the hp installed kernel modules?

Thanks!
