Re: D2220sb can be use with BL460c Gen9 ?
Hi,
Neither the HP D2220sb Storage Blade QuickSpecs mention support for HP ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server nor HP ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server's QuickSpecs mention support for the storage blade. This indicates that they have not been offically test together as of date.
The HP D2220sb Storage Blade supports the following Gen8 Blade servers though:
- BL460c Gen8
- BL465c Gen8
- BL660c Gen8
- WS460c Gen8

Thank you very much for your reply.
One more question,
Now, What Storage blade is supportable (supported) BL460 Gen9 server blade?

Solution
Hi,
Going through the server's and the storage blade's QuickSpecs, I do not find them to be a supported configuration.

Re: D2220sb can be use with BL460c Gen9 ?
The D2220sb will be supported on March 30 with the annoucement of a new array controler that we need to reside in the parrent server blade. Existing D2220sb storage blades in the field can have their Firmware flashed in order to add support for Gen9 server blades that include the new array controler.
hope this helps.

Hi Supporter,
Could be used of D2220sb for BL460c Gen7? Have anyone to try that? Is it workable or not?
Thanks.

Re: D2220sb can be use with BL460c Gen9 ?
Hi,
The HP D2200sb Storage Blade is supported with HP ProLiant BL460c G7 Server Blade. For confirmation refer to section "Additional Options > HP Storage Blades" in the server Blade's QuickSpecs.
Hope this helps!!

Vijayasarathy

Re: D2220sb can be use with BL460c Gen9 ?
Hi guys,
Its the 31st March today, I've had a good search of the BL460c Gen9 support advisories and knowledgebase and didn't see any announcement about how to get the Gen9 to support the D2220sb . Is this forthcoming or should I seriously start thinking about trading my Gen9s for Gen8s? I've got a load of G1/SB40c that are W2K3 and getting cranky with age so I'm under a lot of pressure from my boss to get them migrated before the OS or hardware dies.
Thanks!

Re: D2220sb can be use with BL460c Gen9 ?
Thank you for your information!!!
I was updated my BL460c Gen9 server firmware and try to connect D2220sb,
but don't recognized D2220sb storage via Smart Array P244br controller.
P244br's firmware update latest version but this is not fix.
c7000 enclosure bay 7 = D2220sb
bay8 = BL460c Gen9
