Changing HP Virtual Connect Assigned Serial Numbers

Can you change from VC assigned to factory for serial number without recreating the profiles?

We are looking for the best method to correct this current issue:

This will need to be corrected in order to view the hardware serial numbers via WMI.  This will require all servers to be shut down and all profiles deleted.  We will have to change the Domain settings in the Virtual Connect and then create all new server profiles. We are relying on the physical serial number for Remedy tracking assets to keep us with warranty and end of life usage.
