Support for HP FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 650FLB with HP VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module

I note that the Quickspecs for the newly released 650FLB omit the HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module for c-Class BladeSystem as a supported interconnect module.   The release notes for VirtualConnect firmware v4.20 (and 4.30) which add support for the 650FLB do include the HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module for c-Class BladeSystem as supported by the VirtualConnect software version.

Is the ommision of the HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module for c-Class BladeSystem from the 650FLB Quickspecs intentional, or is the HP FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 650FLB supported for use with the HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module for c-Class BladeSystem?

The FlexFabric 10/24 is not supported at launch for the 650FLB/650M

Its being tested and will likely be supported at a future date.

Day 1 support of the Emulex 650 cards right now is:
VC FlexFabric 20/40 F8
VC Flex-10/10D
6125XLG HP Networking Switch.

PS: The Broadcom based 630 should be supported on Gen8, Gen9 and FlexFabric 10/24 if you are open to alternatives.

Thanks for the response Casper42.  Functionally the 630 FLB will fit my needs, but it will add nearly $1000/unit to what would otherwise be a pure SmartBuy purchase (at a very favorable price compared to a CTO build).  I don't suppose you could provide any guidance around the timeline for support?  Before end of HP FY14?  CY14? HPQ1FY15?

The updated Quickspecs from 9/30/2014 now include "HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10Gb/24-port Module for c-Class BladeSystem" as a supported option.
