Virtual Connect FC modules without Virtual Connect Ethernet modules.

Edvard needed some Virtual Connect module clarification:

Hi,

With the new Virtual Connect firmware 3.10 there is no longer a need to have the VC Manager in interconnect bay 1 and interconnect bay 2.

Does this mean that it’s possible to run ordinary switches or pass-through modules in bay 1 and 2 and VC FC modules in bay 3 and 4 .

You still need Virtual Connect Ethernet modules to run VC Manager and manage the VC-FC modules. They could be in bays 5&6 with VC 3.10 indeed, but you still need them.
