BL460c G9 - ILO VSP supports windows 2012 EMS mode if boot up in UFEI mode?
Hi All,
My team needs connect ILO and uses VSP to manage windows in EMS(emergency management service) mode.
But VSP couldn't show "sac>" console correctly after windows boot up in UEFI bootmode.
NOTE: i tried the same configuraion below if installed win2012 in legacy boot mode. VSP showed "sac>" console correctly after windows boot up.
But if installed windows in UFEI mode. And VSP only could work before windows boot up.
Could anyone give me some idea on why this happens?
Details:
A bl460c gen9 server.
bios version: i36 v1.32 (3/6/2015)
windows 2012 installed in uefi mode.
Enabled win2012 ems by
bcdedit -store bcd /bootems {bootmgr} on
bcdedit -store bcd /bootems {default} on
bcdedit -store bcd /ems {default} on
bcdedit -store bcd /emssettings bios
And modified the bios setting
Virtual Serial Port: COM1,IRQ4
BIOS Serial Console Port: Auto
BIOS Serial Console baud rate: 115200
EMS Console: COM1,IRQ4
boot mode: UEFI
