Chasis Firmware Upgrade
Hi,
I'm wondering if someone could help me with this...
We have a c7000 chasis with 14 inserted blades (G1 and G6).
I have to instert a pair of BL460c G7 in it.
As I have to upgrade the OA firmware, what do I need to do first...
Upgrade server firmwares to the latest? upgrade the OA firmware?
When I upgrade the OA firmware... is there any service interruption?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Chasis Firmware Upgrade
Wow, this is old!
I would first boot the blades from SPP 2013.02
the upgrade the OA the following way:
OA firmware to 2.60 and then 3.0 and 3.21, 3.55 then 3.71
Updating the OA is an "online" procedure.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Chasis Firmware Upgrade
I agree with Torsten, very old version.
If your OA has DNS Server access and Internet access, you can actually upgrade OA directly from HP.
SSH (putty) into the Active OA and login with same credentials you use on the web.
Run this command to upgrade to 2.60:
UPDATE IMAGE ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/pubsw-linux/p1040004718/v54829/hpoa260.bin
Then wait for upgrade to complete. You will be logged out of the OA.
Log back in and run the upgrade to 3.11 (3.0 is no longer downloadable)
UPDATE IMAGE ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/pubsw-linux/p1040004718/v62666/hpoa311.bin
Then wait for upgrade to complete. You will be logged out of the OA.
Keep repeating for these:
UPDATE IMAGE ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/pubsw-linux/p1040004718/v71861/hpoa332.bin
UPDATE IMAGE ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/pubsw-linux/p1040004718/v74938/hpoa355.bin
UPDATE IMAGE ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/pubsw-linux/p1040004718/v82281/hpoa371.bin
