Downtime on my blade system simply isn't an option but I know the firmware needs to be updated.
Is it possible to update the firmware on my c3000 without any downtime? If so, can somebody please tell me how?
Thanks in advance.

SolutionOA fw can be updated without downtime, also server ILOs fw. Interconnect module fw update will disconnect IO briefly and all the rest fw inside blades require reboot.

Re: HP BladeSystem c3000 Firmware Update
So can you confirm the following:
HP BladeSystem OA Firmware - Upgrade without downtime
HP Blade Server ILO - Upgrade without downtime
Interconnect Module - Very bried I/O disconnect
All othe firmwares require reboot (can you please tell me which other firmwares are included here?).
Thanks for your help, I will be sure to assign points once this is taken care of.

Re: HP BladeSystem c3000 Firmware Update
You should consider all the components you have and compare what you have to a given release set. You seen this page?
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/blades/components/c-class.html
HP support will have you upgrade if you are too far behind the current release set if you experience any problems.
General sequence for updates:
ILO - server rom's - OA - VC modules (use the vcsu tool).
You are right in your conclusions about disruptions.
