unknownBay problem on HP B-Series 8/12c SAN Switch BladeSystem c-Class

Hi,

I like the interface and how fast it's  when I install the RHEL server on it. :)

but unfortunately I got some unknown status of SAN Switch HP B-Series after accessing HP Virtual Manager.

I'm new for HP System.. I've already google it and read manual book but still can't wondering why it's still unknown. Is this a normal symptomes? Or do we have to configure something?

thank you.

You are viewing this through the Virtual Connect Manager interface, but this switch is not a Virtual Connect module.

Login to the BladeSystem OA and see what you see for these interconnect module switches.

Hi Robert,

Did you means it's normal?

SAN Switch firmware : 7.0c

I can see that SAN Switch already on from OA Administrator, I attached the screenshot.

Thats what I am thinking.  VCM wouldnt manage these switches so it make sense for them to be reported as "unmanaged" from that point of view.

So how can the switch be managed

These are Brocade switches.   They are managed using FabricOS.  Connect to it using the management IP address that is assigned to it by the OA.
