Re: Error when accessing web page for OneView for vCenter 8.0.1

I'm using OneView for vCenter.  In OneView for VMware vCenter, I have added the the vCenter and also added the MSA 2040 storage system.  They are showing up fine in that.  When I open the vSphere web client, however, there is no HPE Management section as described in the manual. It does not show up anywhere.

Hello,

That happened to me.

Log out of vCenter Web Client. oO not just close the window do a logout, then log back in. It should appear.

If it does not appear, I had to do the following:

I had to reinstall OV4VC... FIrst I removed vCenter from OV4VC, then I removed OV4VC. Then I went to https://vcenterip/mob, logged in and verified the extension was removed (you may have some old ones). To remove an extension using the MoB go to content, then ExtensionManager. A list appears at the top, expand that list and look for anything with hp/hpe within the name. You will need to copy the name you see and invoke the UnregisterExtension using the name you copied. To be sure, I restarted the vSphere Web Client service on vCenter.

Then I reinstalled and reconfigured OV4VC. Logging out and back in and viola it appeared.

The login/logout of the web client is important.

Best regards,

Hi,

After deployed Ov4VC, I can't see anything about HP/HPE in https://vcsaip/mob,but the task showed completed? That is the plug-in didn't install at all. why?
