I was able to record a script using VuGen for Truclient and save it to a xml file. However after that I had installed HP LoadRunner and the Truclient for any given urls runs into The connection has timed out. I uninstalled HP LoadRunner and tried different proxy settings butthe the Truclinet times out. If I specify the same url in FireFox and IE it works but not in Truclient

Hi,

In order to add proxy to TruClient you will need to write "about:config" in the URL address bar and change the proxy settings.
Please note that thses settings are kept only for the current session so once you close TruClient and reopen it, you will need to update the proxy settings again.

 

I am attaching a snapshot that show where to define the proxy settings.

Thanks Meidan. I was able to get it work using the FF config parameters that you listed/ In addition there was network.proxy.type that I had to set as well

Hi,

I am glad it is working for you.

Another option to define the proxy is to press the ALT key and then you will see FireFox menu.

From the menu you can also set the proxy settings.

 

Both ways have the same affect, you can choose your favorite.
