SSSU RESTART CONTROLLER EVA3000

Hi,

I try to restart a controller with the SSSU tool. But it doesn't work

This is what I do

sssu
select manager 10.1.3.9 username=administrator password=administrator
select system EVAUX01
EVAUX01>restart "Contoller A"

Even the listing of the controller doesn't work

ls controller full doesn't give an output

But the creation of an extra vdisk works fine

add vdisk test size=10 DISK_GROUP=EVAUX01

Where am i wrong to restart my controller?

According to the manual, you have to specify the full path:

>>Restart controller A, but not its peer controller:
>>RESTART "\Hardware\Rack 1\Enclosure 7\Controller A" NOALL_PEERS

I have seen the "ls" commands fail when the SSSU was 'to new' (or the CV-EVA server 'to old' :-). If my memory is correct, this is a problem when you are using a V4 SSSU against a V3 CV-EVA agent.

Always use show to identify the objects name, for example:

evaX> show power

Power available on this Cell:
\Hardware\Rack 1\Controller Enclosure 7\Controller B
\Hardware\Rack 1\Controller Enclosure 7\Controller A

I have tried to upload V3.2, but ITRC forums responds with its useless "wpa-pl-wpaframework-10000" message :-( Sorry.

Can you check the EVA management server if an "sssu.exe" is located on the system disk?
If not, let me know and I'll try the upload later on.

It looks like the platform kit downloads have been removed from HP's web pages as I get errors when I try to recall links I had saved, sorry :-( :-(
