Add P4500 to P4300 Cluster
Hi,
Just wondering if there are any downsides to adding P4500 G2 nodes to a cluster currently made up of p4300 G2s? Will it only utilize the same space per node as the P4300s in which case it would be better to make a seperate cluster of P4500s?
thanks

Re: Add P4500 to P4300 Cluster
any cluster will work to the lowest denominator... so it will only use the capacity from each node equal to the node with the smallest capacity, and the latency and IOPS will only run as fast as the slowest node

Re: Add P4500 to P4300 Cluster
Thought that would be the case but having not had reason to do it before just wanted to check so that clarified it for me.
Many thanks
