Lefthand SAN Disk Replacement
I have an older Lefthand SAN that has a failed disk. I pulled the disk and it has firmware HPD6. I was able to locate a replacement disk but it has firmware HPD5. If I plug that disk in will the SAN flash the Drive so that the firmware will match before it adds it back to the array?
If NOT does anyone know where I can get a disk with HPD6 firmware.
Thanks
Joe

Re: Lefthand SAN Disk Replacement
It depends on the disk.
try to download service pack for proliant www.hp.com/go/spp and boot from it.
but just do the updates for the disk instead of the whole system to stay compliant with store virtual support matrix
otherwise check if there is an left hand so patch which will do the update
