Warning on Network Frame Size Consistency
Hi,
Can anybody advise if there's a need to set jumbo frame for Lefthand's management network?
Background:
I just set up a cluster of 4730s and use 10GBe for their iSCSI interfaces. Additionally I also set up a separate managmenet network using the onboard 1Gb network on the storage. I only set jumbo frame on the iSCSI interfaces and not on the management network. Now, the CMC give me a warning on "network frame size consistency" because I didn't use the same MTU on all network on the storage.
Looking at the documentation, the management network is only used for DNS, NTP, and SNMP traffic. It has nothing to do with iSCSI data traffic and replication. Hence I don't see the need of having jumbo frame set up for this.
Can I just ignore this "network fram size consisteny" warning?
Appreciate the input. Thanks in advance.

Re: Warning on Network Frame Size Consistency
I'd love to know this as well. I'm in the exact same scenario.
Just confirmed all of my NICs minus Management as well as all the ports on our 4300s are set to 9000MTU. Even verified the switch was set to Jumbo. Still reporting a mismatch in the CMC, despite showing all 9000s in the error message.
That little yellow warning sets my admin-OCD off.

Also same issue - can this be ignored or turned off?
