The jserver Process Failed to Connect to the Database

We managed to complete the deployment of the required iMC packages, however we can't connect to the web interface due to jserver process failing to connect to the database. Everything else seems to be working ok, we can't find out what the problem is (tried using different JAVA versions on a 64bit virtual Windows Server 2012 R2), can you propose a solution, any help will be much appreciated.

Make sure your SQL instance is set to local and window auth mode and you've set an SA password and use SA to connect to the DB.
