Unable to Upgrade Software 2810

I am trying to upgrade Procurve 2810 from software version N.11.25 to N.11.69. When I run the deplyment task, it errors at 2 places in the details. The first error says "Failed to read the current software of the device" which is strange since it lists the software verison in the device view. After that error it initializes a redo task and then I get "Operation Failed" for "Set device's running software as device's backup starup software by script" It says "Unknown error, please retry". I have verfied all the login credentials for SSH, Telent and SNMP. I can successfully backup the configurations with iCM. The imcupgdm log file shows the snippet of information below, i think may be relevant. Any help is appreciated.

don't backup the software during upgrading, you may find which function has problem.

I was finally able to get it to sucessfully go. I did not have SSH enabled on the switch. I enabled SSH and SSH filetransfer and then I was able to push the image.
