3 Keys to Improving your Change and Configuration Management Webinar

chuck_darst ‎06-04-2013 12:40 PM - edited ‎09-20-2015 07:06 AM

It seems that barely a month or week goes by without some notable outage making the news. And, often as you peel the onion on what caused the outage, you will find a self-inflicted configuration change.

Brian Miller and I will present some reasonable suggestions for improving you change and configuration management processes during a Brighttalk webinar on Wednesday, June 12 at 8am Eastern. Replays are typically available almost immediately afterwards.

We'll discuss standardizing the core processes on straightforward ITIL best practices for change management. We'll also demystify discovery. Having an accurate, up to date understanding of the environment including dependencies provides one of the best information sources for avoiding change collisions. And, we'll look at how configuration management complements change management overall.

Please join us next Wednesday. If you are in Las Vegas (like Brian and I) at HP Discover where it will be 5AM, stay up late, get up early, or catch the replay. If you are in Las Vegas and watch the session live, find me in person & you will get a prize!
