Compaq Insight Manager 7 and WINXP

Hi ALL,
I am trying to install Compaq Insight Manager 7 on
Windows XP Pro, it runs for a while then it exist with a windows installer error.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated

There is no indication that it is supposed to work on XP:

"Supports heterogeneous operating environments - Microsoft?? Windows?? 2000, Microsoft Windows NT??, Linux?? (RedHat?? and SuSE??), Novell?? NetWare??, SCO?? Unix??, OS/2, OpenVMS???, and Tru64??? UNIX"


That said make sure you are using the absolute latest version which is 7 SP 1.1 from August of this year.

I am CIM 7 on a Windows XP Professional machine with no probelms. Try to reinstall CIM 7.
