HP SIM Manager and managed nodes have diff. domain suffix
I have a HP SIM Manager v5.3 and several dozens of managed nodes. I can manage those managed nodes without problem when the managed nodes and HP SIM manager are having the same domain suffix.
Now, I come across the problem of failing to initiatie "System Management Hompage" from the HP SIM Manager to the manged nodes which have different domain suffix and are running HP SIM v3.0.1.73.
The "Page cannot be displayed" is returned and the URL is https://localhost:50000/SSO?DID=000000143851c3a20000000300000040&APP=0&FRM=1&URL=https://server01:2381/
I have to manually append domain suffix, e.g. corp.dcentre.com behind server01 (e.g. server01.corp.dcentre.com) and reload the page, then the System Management Homepage of managed node can be displayed properly.
It seems that the HP SIM manager always uses the hostname (preferred system name from HP SIM term) instead of FQDN to access the System Management Homepage of the server.
How can I force the HP SIM server to use the FQDN (Network Name from HP SIM term)?

Re: HP SIM Manager and managed nodes have diff. domain suffix
Thank you very much.
I no longer need to append domain suffix after following your steps to make the change.
