HP SIM Noob
Hi All,
I'm new to installing and utilizing SIM ... Have recently installed 6.3 on a VM and am running discovery seeing about 20 hosts appearing.... Were 150 plus HP products on our network and recently set up two servers where i installed PSP on them post windows install.... I have a discovery set up to run every day and thus far they arent appearing .... i just recently read that you must install Proliant Support Pack to get them to appear , now apparantly there is more to this than just that .... What all needs to happen for an HP Server to appear in SIM ?
Thanks ... Phil

Re: HP SIM Noob
To setup a server to report to SIM using SNMP, do the following:
- Install the latest PSP from the HP website for that hardware model
- Configure at least 1 read only community string on the agents to match that at the CMS
- COnfigure the trap location and community string to point at the CM
- Discover the device in SIM
