SIM 7.2 suspend monitoring

Hi,

some testing revealed server that are 'suspended rom monitoring' in HP SIM (7.2), still fire events for software notification traps.

is this normal behaviour? Is there any way to get around of this?

Hi,

This is a normal behavior,  like in  older versions only the polling of the status is suspended.

You do not get host unreachable message.

thanks, i've created a Automatic event handling task that clears all events for servers with hardware status disabled, that resolves the issue :)
