Unable to use modem to page out to support pager

Hi,
I have installed HPSIM on Windows 2000 (SP4) and have a problem trying to get it to page out to a support pager. We have followed all the instructions given in the manual. Using the Hyperterminal, we are able to get the modem to page out properly. But somehow the HPSIM is not able to. It does activate the modem to dial out, but somehow the paging fails. Does anyone have any other suggestions I can try?

The paging support only works with providers who support the TAP protocol - does you provider support this?

Hi Scott,

Thanks for the quick reply. We used the Windows Hyperterminal to connect to the modem and send out a page. It works fine. I would presume that it means TAP is enabled at my service provider.

Thanks to everyone. We had no choice but to do a re-install of HPSIM and it worked after that.
