Version Control Agent problem

I have HP Version Control Repository Manager (version 2.1.10.800)and Version Control Agent (2.1.9.791).
The problem is that the Version Control Agent on managed servers does not work except from the one that has installed the HP Version Control Repository Manager.I believe that is the firewall who is blocking it but i don't know the port that has to be opened.

Thank you

Re: Version Control Agent problem

Hi Denis,

Please modify your firewall to allow traffic through port 2381(TCP). This is the port number which SMH uses to communicate through which VC also.
This might solve your problem.

Re: Version Control Agent problem

Thank you for the information.
Do you know if it is tcp or udp port 2381 and does it has to be incoming and/or outgoing in both sides vca and vcrm?

Re: Version Control Agent problem

As I mentioned in my previous reply, its tcp port 2381. Configure your firewall to allow both incoming and outgoing traffic through tcp port 2381.

Fingers crossed :-)
All the best !!

Re: Version Control Agent problem

As i figured through tcpdump, vca mostly use tcp port 2381 (https), but it sends few packets on 2301 (http).
