Add HP-UX release to Ignite server from ISO image?

You could use lan instead of media:
-mount the media on another machine
-swcopy the contents to disk (optional)
-swcopy the depot to the non-media machine disks

or, the Ignite make_depots command can do this swcopy stuff for you.

or, see if there is a portable media drive laying around.
