can anyone tell me if there is something different that has to be done when trying to boot a bl890 i4 from an ignite server?
I got into the shell and use the same boot process i have used with all the other servers and the bl890's dont seem to find the ignite server.
I have done this for years, I just loaded 4 new bl860 i4 and it worked fine, but the bl890's wont connect.
here is the commands that are being used.
dbprofile –dn ignite –sip X.X.X.85 -m 255.255.255.0 -gip X.X.X.1 -cip X.X.X.26 -b "/opt/ignite/boot/nbp.efi"
dbprofile -dn ignite
lanboot select –dn ignite
iT then lists out 16 ports to select from and no matter what i select it wont connect.
any help would be appreciated,
thanks

Re: BL890 i4 issues with ignite
What interconnects are in the enclosure? Maybe you need to do some adjustments (create VC profile etc).
Any answer from "lanboot select"?
Example:
PXE-E16: Valid PXE offer not received.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
