/opt/ignite/boot directory has 4 directories REL_B.11.00 , REL_B.11.11, REL_B.11.23 and REL_B.11.31 is it safe to remove 11.00 and 11.11, I'm currently at 11.23 HPUX and preparing to go to 11.31 ie: need the space...........

Re: Cleaning up Ignite
It's probably not a real good idea to just remove files from a software installation. swlist should show you installations for Ignite-UX-11-00 and Ignite-UX-11-11. Use swremove to remove those packages. Then, if once that's done removing any left behind files in /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.11 and /opt/ignite/boot/Rel_B.11.00 should be safe. But leave the directories if they are still there.

Re: Cleaning up Ignite
These directories have the Ignite-UX installation kernel files for HP-UX11.00 and 11.11 client systems, Its recommeded not to remove these directories. since if these 11.00 & 11.11 installation utilies were removed you wouldnt be able to network recover the Ignite-UX client systems running 11.00 & 11.11.

I have no systems running 11.00 or 11..11 so I do not think I need these versions. I'm at 11.23 going to 11.31

SolutionIf thats is the case, you can go ahead and remove the 11.00 and 11.11 installation utilities using the swremove command.
Refer the below example:
Example:
# swlist | grep -i ignite-ux
IGNITE C.7.13.259 HP-UX Installation Utilities (Ignite-UX)
Ignite-UX-11-11 C.7.13.259 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.11 Systems
Ignite-UX-11-23 C.7.13.259 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.23 Systems
Ignite-UX-11-31 C.7.13.259HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.31 Systems
The above output shows that the server have installation utilities for 11.11, 11.23 & 11.31.
Run the below command to remove the 11.11 installation utilities..
# swremove Ignite-UX-11-11
Using swremove would remove all the files & filesets related to the product choosen..
