Connection to the ignite server failed
Good Evening All,
I am getting a weird failure message when i triggered the make_net_recovery command.
It says "ERROR: Connnection to the server:xxxx failed"
But the client is able to ping the ignite server and am able to mount the exported directories from the ignite server to the client. Below is the log file which i get when the make_net_recovery fails.
/opt/ignite/bin/make_net_recovery -s xxxxx
* Creating NFS mount directories for configuration files.
======= 10/10/12 16:42:17 BST Started /opt/ignite/bin/make_net_recovery. (Wed

@(#) Ignite-UX Revision B.5.1.33
@(#) net_recovery (opt) $Revision: 10.618 $
* Testing pax for needed patch
* Passed pax tests.
* Checking Versions of Recovery Tools
ERROR: Connnection to the server:xxxxx failed.
Can anyone give me a fix for this issue. I doubt on the ignite version in the client. it is Ignite-UX ---> B.5.1.33

Re: Connection to the ignite server failed
Hi,
Look in server's /var/opt/ignite/logs/ignite file for connection attemptps, and also you can try to restart nfs in server and client (if it is possible).
Which version of ignite do you have on server side?
Regards

Re: Connection to the ignite server failed
Try to Add or Refresh the client system from Ignite-UX Server side.
To do this from Ignite-UX server, run "ignite" CLI -> Go to "Action" menu -> " Add New Client for Recovery."
(or)
from Ignite-UX server, run "ignite" CLI -> Select the client -> Go to "Action" menu -> "Refresh Client".
Also try to initialiate the "make_net_recovery" from the Ignite-UX server and check if it works.
From Ignite-UX Server, run Ignite CLI -> Select the client -> Go to "Actions" -> choose "Create Network Recovery Archive"..
Hope this helps..
