a novice here, experts,
while trying to ignite a remote machine using bootsys command, some error occured and I lost the system's capability to again be booted remotely using bootsys command. now I am on EFI on this machine and want to ignite using the golden image already created. is there any way that I can ignite the system using golden image stored on different machine through EFI console? (lanboot with dbprofile came to my mind but when tried it didn't work- maybe did some mistake)
any way that it could be done?
kindly advise...

This is exactly what you need to do.
What didn't work? What error did you get?
There are things that need to be configured on the server you are trying to boot from. The Ignite-UX Admin guide covers these pretty well.

Re: Ignite a machine with golden image on remote via EFI
thanks Patrick, as per your suggestion I went throught the ignite ux admin guide and tried but couldn't get through, could you please advise which files do I need to modify to get proper results-
I have,
0. golden image stored in NFS exported location
/spare_disk2/himanshu/goldenimage
1. created a dbprofile
dbprofile -dn rocgolden -cip <> -sip <> -gip <> -m <> -b /opt/ignite/boot/nbp.efi
2.when I do lanboot
lanboot -dn rocgolden
Retrieving File (TFTP).nite/boot/nbp.efi @(#) HP-UX IA64 Network Bootstrap Program Revision 1.1 Downloading HPUX bootloader Starting HPUX bootloader Obtaining size of fpswa.efi (328192 bytes) Downloading file fpswa.efi (328192 bytes) (C) Copyright 1999-2012 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. whivch files do I need to alter in order to get the golden image as option in this menu and link that menu to proper golden image..? (on IA64 architecture)

Re: Ignite a machine with golden image on remote via EFI
Thanks Patrick, it gives me the golden Image option in the next menu :)
I should have gone through the complete process once...
however I came across this blog, for automating the entire booting process,
your thoughts on this would be appreciated... (I am on IA64 hpvmguest machine)
