Ignite error on hp-ux 11.23

Dear All,

I am trying to take IGNITE bkp in hp-ux rx 2620 server OS getting following error meassage and attached the same.

The Errors:

You have filesets with a downgraded revision

did you upgrade from 11.11 to 11.23?

The best thing you can do is reinstall the whole ignite-ux bundle with version rev=C.7.7.98

hi,

please post the output of

#swlist -l bundle | grep Ignite

it looks like you have two vrsions installed in the system, maybe you have done an upgrade to ignite/ux before and did not update all the components.

you need to have the same versions for all ignite filesets installed

so you probably just need to install the 11.11 version of c.7.7.98 to make it all compatible

Inside the server we have two ignite bundle versions, we have deleted old one.
After I performed the activity it is completed successfully.

Is there a way of keeping the other versions and having the latest take presidence over the other? The environment we've got here forces us to be consistence and to keep other versions for compatibility reasons. Any ideas?

The ignite versions must match. There is no reason to try to keep old versions -- they will not work with newer disks, tape and servers, and there are a number of enhancements that may not be compatible. Ignite is a self-contained software product and has no effect on the OS. You can swremove and swinstall without any reboot and any archives are left intact.
