Ignite recovery failing with port issue

I recently upgraded ( new install ) our 11iv2 IUX server to v3. Everything seems to be working great with exception of one issue.

The make net recovery is failing due to port 49179 being blocked by our firewall. The IUX document does not specify anything between that range that is required.

tftp ( udp )-> 69
swinstall ( tcp/udp ) -> 2121
nfs ( tcp/udp ) -> 2049

We had to open a few other ports for nfs in the 59000 range, I believe. Was curious if anyone has ran into similar issues? In particular "showmount -e" is what drives the timeout.

Re: Ignite recovery failing with port issue

Hi,

well, in the manual you posted I see it refers to a range of ports from 49152 to 65535 about NFS. See pages 127, 130, 133, 135. If I understand well they should be for RPC calls.

Best regards,
Fabio

Re: Ignite recovery failing with port issue

Thanks! I was looking at the diagram but failed to read the associated notes on pg 127 about the port spread for nfs ( 49152-65535 ).
