Re: Ignite restore of RX to superdome !!
Superdom Golden Image --> rx6600
The Support answer at that time was going from the big one to the small one is ok, the other way would be not supported.
Bit as Thorsten mentioned, you need to give it a try - probably it will work.

Re: Ignite restore of RX to superdome !!

1, superdome SD32(sx1000) Npar ==> rx4640
2, rx4640 ==> superdome SD32(sx1000) Npar
3, superdome SD32(sx1000) ==> rx7640 (sx2000) Npar

Re: Ignite restore of RX to superdome !!
Currently I boot my systems from 8640 vpars, to my currently superdome 2 vpars. The superdome is running firmware 1.3.1 I have the systems set up as SAN boot. We just point the SAN from the 8640 over to the superdome 2. When the system comes up we had to disable icap, and I also removed the vpmon database since the vpars software runs on the firmware in the superdome 2.
Anyone know what command it is to launch ignite on the superdome. On the 8640 I would just do vparload -I to get ignite started, but the -I is not a valid option on the superdome 2.

Re: Ignite restore of RX to superdome !!
You should use lanboot together with dbprofile from EFI.
Make sure you have a supported OS version!!!
(OS release 1109 for latest superdome 2 firmware!)
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
