Hi Expert
I need to know following:
From HP Unix Host(ignite client), which file will provide me the host name of the ignite server.
If am not aware of the ignite server , and i need to take the ignite backup, how could i find the details of the ignite server from the ignite client or any hp unix host.
Regards

SolutionCheck the file: /var/opt/ignite/recovery/previews
The server will be: iux_server=some_host
The archive (the backup data) may be stored on another server so: archive_host=some_host may be different. But you would backup and restore from the iux_server system.
This is no guarentee however. Though not an easy design to manage, your network may have several ignite servers setup. You can use the ignite program on eachserver to list the systems which have been configured. If you uset the DISPLAY variable, you'll get a simple (and fast) text menu screen that shows the clients.
