Not able to take ignite backup

While taking ignite backup printng this error

ERROR: list_expander returned an error.
ERROR: list_expander returned an error.
ERROR: Failed to get the archive size and the list of files which will be in
archive.

Shalom,

We need more of your log to help.

My guess based on the error is that you have files on your system with illegal, unprintable characters that ignite can not back up.

More current version of ignite handled this better but are more strict in other areas such as lvm structure.

If you find the files in your log and delete them, they are probably temporary files, you should be able to do an ignite backup.

Hi,

It also requires some space in /var file system to create the list of files in a file named flist. Does your /var file system have some free space?

post bdf output to find the same.

Also use exact command to backup only vg00 like

#make_tape_recovery -Ava /dev/rmt/xmn -x inc_entire=vg00 -I

thanku i solved the problem as per ur instr
i found three circular link files.after replaced that files ignite fired success fully without any error
