Re: Used Ports in PA-RISC ignite-ux
You may, depending on network configuration need the r protocols, remesh, et al open as well. Your firewall people will love that.
see /etc/services for a list. checking aginst /etc/inetd.conf
netstat -an | more
That will show you what is listening.

Re: Used Ports in PA-RISC ignite-ux
To many open ports if you ask me.
You definitely need tftp (69), bootp (67,68), portmap (111), swagent (2121) and nfs (2049).
To get NFS through your firewall (and not upset the firewall guys), you need to install PHNE_34662.
This will give you the possibility to hardcode port configuration for lockd, mountd and statd, e.g.:
LOCKD_PORT=4045
MOUNTD_PORT=4046
STATD_PORT=4047
You are hopefully able to connect to the system via GSP/MP/iLO. In that case you don't need any r-tools, ssh and such.
FTP is not necessary for ignite.
My 2 cents,
Armin
