Re: make_tape_recovery: make_medialif failed creating boot LIF
Possible solution here, though its hard to read:
http://h50163.www5.hp.com/TCForum/Others/UpLoadFiles/a021f785-c6a4-436e-b495-193b026ffd56.txt

Re: make_tape_recovery: make_medialif failed creating boot LIF
You will need to install the complete Ignite product, i.e. the product marked "IGNITE" (C.7.x) or marked "B5725AA" (B.6.x). This will allow ignite images for all versions, though C.7.x does not allow before 11.0, and B.6.x will not do 11iv3.
If you only ever want to ignite 11.0 then use the subset marked "Ignite-UX-11.00". You may do well to swremove any previous versions of Ignite first.
Hope that helps
Mike.

You can download the entire bundle or just your version for a specific OS type.
Remember to swremove your old version first.

Re: make_tape_recovery: make_medialif failed creating boot LIF
I tried to check for latest copy of 11.00 ignite-ux
Ignite-IA-11-22 B.5.2.124 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.22 IPF Systems
Ignite-IA-11-23 B.5.2.124 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.23 IPF Systems
Ignite-UX-10-20 B.5.2.124 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 10.20 Systems
Ignite-UX-11-00 B.5.2.124 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.00 Systems
Ignite-UX-11-11 B.5.2.124 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.11 Systems
It is in March 2004 CD. Where you C.6.8.152 from? i think it is for 11iv1 version.

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5992-1977/5992-1977.pdf
It discusses the various issues you can encounter when installing different Ignite bundles, how to update, dealing with mismatched filesets, etc.
