non-attended or non-interactive ignite restoration
I have taken a n/w ignite backup of a client. And, want to restore in non-interactive mode.
That is, i will just boot the system from lanboot & the restoration should happen automatically.
Thanks in advance.

Re: non-attended or non-interactive ignite restoration
This is possible, it requires set up and some testing to make it work right.
The setup and testing will be different for PA-RISC based systems as opposed to Itanium based systems.

Re: non-attended or non-interactive ignite restoration
Thanks for the reply.
But, this is not, what I am looking for.
I have backup in hand & I want to restore it on client without any inputs i.e. in unattended mode.
Thanks,
Vivek

Re: non-attended or non-interactive ignite restoration
For instance, do you use an Ignite server ? this can certainly help you with lanboots followed by a silent restore.
Is you server PA-RISC or Itanium ?
Are uou going to restore to the same type of hardware ?
All important questions if you want to ignite-restore.

Re: non-attended or non-interactive ignite restoration
Thanks for your replies.
Both server & client are IA systems.
I took backup with command:
# make_net_recovery -s
Now, I want to restore this backup in non-interactive mode.
What the changes i need to be done ?
Thanks,
Vivek
