Re: very urgent

HI,

Are you abel to see your Ignite server.

Main Menu: Enter command or menu > sea lan install

If this display you 147.128.43.12, then try

Main Menu: Enter command or menu > bo lan. install

Hope that helps.

Re: very urgent

Since it show you in
Main Menu: Enter command or menu > sea lan install
that means it is in your subnet and it's not an issues.

Can you paste the output so that we can see where exactly it is hanging.

Most probably this should be an Ignite server related issue.

Re: very urgent

Had similar issues when not using the core io lan card. I was told network boot must happen on core io lan port or the lowest identified from lanscan. I get around this by booting from a hpux cd, setup proper network device and ip etc,and then ignite from my ignite server.

Re: very urgent

You need to use lan0 - else you will need a boot helper.

Do a linkloop test from the ignite server to this one:

linkloop -i 0 0x00306E0FB224

Course - use the mac address of the server you want to install to...

Also - do you have an unused ip in /etc/opt/ignite/instl_boottab on the ignite server?

boot lan.147.128.43.12 install
That is the correct syntax to boot.
