SSG Announcement: CCRM 9.0 General Availability

The Solution Services Group (SSG) and the Service Manager/Release Control/UCMDB/OO teams are pleased to announce the General Availability of CCRM 9.0 solution.

HP’s Change, Configuration, and Release Management 9.0 solution addresses the challenges customers face today with their IT change processes; such as change-induced incidents and problems, volume of changes, and the associated compliance/audit issues of change.  CCRM 9.0 returns to its CORE focusing on managing the process of change.  The CCRM CORE leverages the following BTO products:  HP Service Manager (SM) providing the Request For Change process workflow; HP Release Control (RC), which has been embedded within SM’s Change module enabling CAB virtualization and better proactive risk and impact analysis; and HP UCMDB and Discovery and Dependency Mapping (DDM) providing CI-based impact analysis and as well as change validation and unplanned change detection CCRM 9, as well as refocusing the solution on the CORE process of change, also provides an extension into automating the deployment of change for more mature customers, leveraging our HP Operations Orchestration product.

Re: SSG Announcement: CCRM 9.0 General Availability

How about making the solutions easier to sell (and buy!) by bundling products (and their installation media?)? The CCRM solution includes so many product licenses, that it becomes a solution only when the custoemr has already bought all (or all but one) of the licenses that go into the solution.

Re: SSG Announcement: CCRM 9.0 General Availability

Hi Rolf,

Many of our customers are downloading software and not purchasing media. In the US if they do that they avoid some taxes. That is one of the reason it is separate.

Last year when I was in product management for another product, we did create bundles. Let me check with this team and get back to you.
