HDD not detected in HP integrity Rx 2660 server

Hi

I recently expanded the memory in our HP integrity Rx 2660 server. After installing the memory, the server is not booting up, lights come up on the HDD during startup but after that blue setup screen pops up and then when I try to select the boot device, it says fail to load from the boot device.

Also, when I checked the option of all devices attached to system, it is not showing any HDD installed, I have also tried installing the HDD into different slots, but nothing. The HDD are working fine and getting detected in the other rx 2660 server.

I would appreciate if anyone could give suggestions on solving this problem.

Regards
Nimish

Re: HDD not detected in HP integrity Rx 2660 server

Could you please run these commands from EFI:

Shell> devices

Shell> devtree

I want to know if you have a smartarray controller.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HDD not detected in HP integrity Rx 2660 server

Hi Nimish,

My understanding is while upgrading the memory, HDD devices/controller would have disturbed.

Please try to check those loose connections and correct the same.

After thyat, please run those command advised by Torsten.

If nothing works, Please log a hardware Call/Case with HP remote support.

HTH,
