HP Smart Array P400 controller | HDD amber LED | rx6600

Hi,

Our Customer has one rx6600 server, one of HDD was showing pre-failure amber LED.

In order to verify I have checked "sautil" output, I was getting same status i.e.. HDD is failed.

HDD is configured in raid 1+0 group, after replacing HDD, arrary re-built successfully and also HDD status in "sautil" output changed to OK.

But, we are still getting Amber LED on HDD.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Aamir Majeed.

Hi Aamir,

Could you please post the SAUTIL output.

Example: #sautil  <device_file>

You are quite right, but sautil output was creating confusion by showing every status "OK"

---- LOGICAL DRIVE SUMMARY ---------------------------------------------------

1 1+0 139982 MB OK

2 1+0 139982 MB OK
