Re: How to clear MP ILO Event log

You can only select "C" - clear all logs.

If you don't have any problems with the system, you can delete the logs now.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: How to clear MP ILO Event log

I tried in MP->SL-->C to clear logs, but it is not clearing iLO Event.

Event Log Viewer Menu:

Log Name Entries % Full Latest Timestamped Entry
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
   E - System Event 0
   F - Forward Progress 0
   B - Current Boot 0
   P - Previous Boot 0
   I - iLO Event 499 100 % 05 Feb 2013 15:03:55
   C - Clear All Logs
   L - Live Events

Enter menu item or [Ctrl-B] to Quit:

 Please help me out.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
   E - System Event               294        33 %      04 Feb 2013 06:45:17
   F - Forward Progress     1722        43 %      04 Feb 2013 06:45:17
   B - Current Boot                 73           24 %
   P - Previous Boot               73           24 %
   I - iLO Event                       499        100 %      04 Feb 2013 15:09:33

Re: How to clear MP ILO Event log

Hi Sakthi,

NOTE: IEL logs cannot be cleared.

iLO Event Log
The log viewer enables you to view the contents of the iLO Event Log stored in nonvolatile memory.

IEL, that is, "iLO Event Log" contains events corresponding to Login/Logout actions to MP and execution of MP commands. When ever a user performs a Login to MP, or Logout from MP, an event is logged. If the user fails to Login to MP, an event is logged if the number of continuous login failure attempts equals the password fault value.

HTH,
