rx7640 - CELL_VRM_RAIL_FLT
Hi,
I have a rx7640 server with two cells and two nPars. One of the cell fails to power on with below error. in fact it powers on for few minutes and stops with this error message.
10459 PDHC 0,1 *3 648013c901e00027 00ffff01ff03ff43 CELL_VRM_RAIL_FLT
I can see below error in PS command
HW status for Cell 1 : FAILURE DETECTED
Power status : OFF, 1.2V FSB RAIL FAULT
Faults above are latched. They are cleared just before the cell is powered on.
Is it VRM fault or system board?

Re: rx7640 - CELL_VRM_RAIL_FLT
Hi Gurus,
I have already tried resetting PDH battery and it helped to get rid of errors related memory and other stuff.
Got sturck here and not sure exactly what is causing this issue here.
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!!!
Regards,
Riyansh

Re: rx7640 - CELL_VRM_RAIL_FLT
Hi,
as this is a voltage rail fault, we cannot say if one or all of the involved VRMs or the cell board itself has an issue.
As shown in the power status, the failed voltage rail is the 1,2 V FSB.
This rail consists of VRMs 1-3.
So you may replace those VRMs first and then check again.
Kind Regards
Holger
