Content filter on office connect router
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have an office connect with content filter setup on a site. We have sites like facebook blocked. someone has figured out if they use https instead of http they can basically get to any site. Even if I block the word facebook they can still get on. Any ideas? is it even possible or is it just a flaw?
Thanks

Re: Content filter on office connect router
in https communication, the content is encrypted!
This is basicaly "man in the middle" traffic monitoring.
I assume the officeconnect cannot do this.
You'll need an advanced (IPS) device to do "deep inspection" of https encrypted communications.
