Routing between vlans
Using a HP 1920G
I have configured Vlans 10,20,30,40
192.168.10.0/24
192.168.20.0/24
192.168.30.0/24
192.168.40.0/24
Each VLAN interface is 192.168.x.1
Now when configuring a static route under IPv4 routes using the following entries
Destination 192.168.30.0
Subnet 24
Next Hop 192.168.30.1
Using Interface-Vlan 30
I recieve an error message stating invalid next hop address, any assistance is appreciated.

Re: Routing between vlans
You don't need static routes for subnets that the switch has a routed interface in, only for subnets that 4exist elsewhere, and the route will point to the remote interface.

Re: Routing between vlans
Thank you, I now see what was going on with my routing and why pings were not traversing.
